DOES YOUR CULTURE STAND-OUT
TO ALL YOUR STAKEHOLDERS?
To your future employees as well
as your future customers?

GREAT BUSINESS CULTURE:
It's why people join, why they stay,
& why they perform

Exceptional business culture: the foundation of accelerating organisational performance

Your business culture underpins how engaged and productive your colleagues are on a daily basis, and whether they choose to stay with you over your competitors. It’s one of the top drivers for the best talent to join you. It’s the differentiator in how you deliver your service or products to your customers. The value in aligning the brand you portray externally with the internal day-to-day experience of your employees, is substantial, as repeatedly demonstrated by winning organisations.

The benefits of taking part

The Business Culture Awards gives forward-thinking organisations a way to celebrate work which sets up their employees to succeed - recognising how their people’s employment experience is fundamental to business performance. Many organisations have created and implemented specific projects which have a positive impact on aspects of their culture - increasing purpose, pride, collaboration or learning by example. By advancing or transforming your workplace culture, and then ensuring you communicate this broadly, you are:

  • - Creating a sustainable competitive advantage that is much harder to imitate than your products or services.
  • - Focusing on your employee engagement, one of your leading metrics of organisational performance.
  • - Applying an effective channel to promote, within and outside of your sector, how your company values its unique culture and its people.
  • - Gaining access to the powerful Business Culture network and community, which comprises leading practitioners and thinkers in HR and business.
  • - Demonstrating value to your investors or stakeholders by aligning a stand-out customer brand to an exceptional employer brand.
"You can buy a man's time, you can buy a man's physical presence at a given place; you can even buy a measured number of skilled muscular motions per hour or day. But you cannot buy enthusiasm; you cannot buy initiative; you cannot buy loyalty; you cannot buy the devotion of hearts, minds and souls. You have to earn these things.Clarence Francis, Chairman General Foods

Your Awards Host

Sally PhillipsWe are delighted to announce actor, writer and producer, Sally Phillips as our host for the Business Culture Awards Night. Sally has appeared in some of the most popular and influential comedies of recent years. Having been born in Hong Kong, educated at Oxford University and displaying early performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, Sally has worked her way onto our screens and into our hearts.

From her breakthrough role as the mischievous receptionist in I’m Alan Partridge, Sally starred in the cult sitcom Hippies, before joining fellow writer-performers Fiona Allen and Doon Mackichan on their award-winning sketch show, Smack the Pony. Following these successes, Sally has gone on to star in acclaimed hospital comedy Green Wing, Jennifer Saunders’ Jam & Jerusalem and satire comedy series Veep among others. Most recently we will recognise Sally as the generally well-meaning friend Tilly, in the comedy sitcom, Miranda, and the quirky Shazza, in all three Bridget Jones’ Diary films.
